Sydney is such a beautiful city! We got in late afternoon, so we took it easy and explored what we could before it got dark. Our hotel rocks, the view from our windows (which are almost 270 degrees) overlooks the Oprah House and the famous Harbour bridge. It is located in the Rocks, which is one of the city's most exciting shopping, dining, and entertainment precincts. It's also the site of the first colonial settlement in Australia in 1788, so there is a lot of history here too. The Rocks is at the northern end of the city, near Circular Quay.
To end the night we ate at a cute place in The Rocks called Alfred Giraffe's. The wine is just too good here!
Tomorrow we plan on doing the touristy stuff, we may take a ferry boat ride around the city and take in some much needed sunshine. We won't forget to wear our sunnies (ha, that's what they call sunglasses here).
Till then....
