Merry Christmas!
Today we relaxed at Manly Beach. It's a quick ferry ride (30 minutes) North of Sydney. You take the Sydney Ferry, which is a HUGE boat over to Manly. This boat has 2 levels and holds hundreds of people, it even has a cafe on it!
Manly is a beautiful coastal city. We took the scenic walk along the coast and it was fun to see everyone out celebrating Christmas with wine and elaborate picnics on the beach. A lot of people had Santa hats and outfits on...very funny to see this in warm weather!!!
The houses in Manly are really nice, each one is different and built into the hillside. It reminded us of homes in West Hollywood, large, expensive houses built on top of each other!
The surf on the Western side of Manly is non-existent, but once you walk through town to the other side, there is a ton of vacationers surfing, swimming, and enjoying their Holiday. We had a quick lunch, as the weather was turning bad. It's probably at least 15 degrees cooler here today and drizzling, so we headed back to the hotel to enjoy the hottub!
We are off to dinner now - we are just going to see what we find. We may visit the Star City Casino tonight, we'll see...tomorrow should be fun, we are doing a wine tour of Hunter Valley's Blue Mountains. We are hoping to find some good wine to send back!

ReplyDeleteMerry Chirstmas to your both. We missed you today. We opened presents, ate, played with the doggies, set up computers and now we are looking at your blog. It is really fun watching your adventures. I would tell you to have a great time for the rest of your vacation, but I can tell it is fabulous! We enjoyed your other picture album too! I love the pictures of all the animals and the little beach towns! Love you both! xoxoxoxo
